Claire began her teaching career in a Junior school in Yorkshire, teaching in Year 5, before moving to Buckinghamshire to teach Year 6 and become Literacy Lead and SENCo at another Junior School. Her leadership journey started at a large CofE primary school in Buckinghamshire, where she was Deputy Headteacher for 10 years and completed her NPQH. In 2013, Claire and her family relocated to the sunny South Coast, and she opened a new primary Academy in Bournemouth, working for the same Trust for 5 years, opening a new junior school and taking on Executive Headship and Director of Primary Education roles.

Claire is currently Executive Head across the Wellington Primaries, which includes Wellington Eagles and Wellington Lions. She enjoys working in the military community and supporting pupils to achieve the best outcomes possible.

Claire enjoys an outdoors lifestyle, having taken up paddle boarding and cycling since living close to the sea and is also kept busy supporting and ferrying her 2 children, aged 13 and 15, to their various sporting commitments.
