Jason has been the Principal at Kingsbury Green Academy since 2015. In that time, the school has grown by over a third and has been judged to be ‘Good’ by Ofsted in every category. Jason is immensely proud to be associated with Kingsbury Green Academy and couldn’t wish for a better school to be part of. Kingsbury Green Academy staff and pupils generate a unique warmth that visitors always comment on, and as Principal, Jason takes his responsibility for securing an excellent standard of education for all pupils very seriously indeed.
Jason is a parent of two children and so understands the level of trust that parents and carers invest in a school on a daily basis. Therefore, he wants the same thing for the pupils in his care as he wants for his own children. Jason wants students to be challenged and nurtured in equal measure and for them to be given the kind of opportunities that were not always available to Jason when he was a child.
Jason grew up in a large council estate in Wrexham, North Wales, which has shaped him as a person and as a teacher. He is passionately driven to ensure that there is equity and fairness in society and he believes that every child deserves the right to achieve their dreams. Jason embodies this on a daily basis and still hasn’t given up on playing rugby for Wales, playing guitar with Guns n Roses or winning the Open in golf! His philosophy is 'all of us should never give up and should continue to strive towards something better, whatever that be.'
