Sandra began her teaching career in Glasgow in 1994 and worked at various schools in Glasgow and North Lanarkshire teaching music.  This was following studying flute and piano at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama which is now known as the Conservatoire of Scotland for four years.  In 1999,  Sandra moved south with her husband and settled in Wiltshire and then went on to have two children.  Sandra began working at the predecessor school to Lawn Manor Academy in 1999 and since then has held various roles including Head of Performing Arts before joining the Senior Leadership Team.  In 2016, Sandra became Headteacher and opened Lawn Manor Academy in 2017 and since this point, the school has gone from strength to strength with Sandra leading the school to join Ascend Learning Trust and being the first school to do so with Royal Wootton Bassett Academy.

Sandra’s children are now both at university in Liverpool and Bournemouth and her spare time is spent with her husband supporting her children and with her two Labradors, Henry and Tosh!  Sandra also still finds time to play music and is an active member of a local Concert Band playing flute.
