Andy became a teacher in 1990 following a career in youth work. He has worked across four counties before settling in Wiltshire. He has experience in a wide variety of schools and has been a Headteacher for the last 18 years.

Andy has been a school improvement adviser and worked with colleagues in a wide variety of schools nationally through the challenge partners' network. Having been part of the executive leadership team (TELT) since joining the Trust he became a trustee following his retirement from teaching in 2021.
