Ascend Learning Trust welcomes their new CEO Jane Coley,

Jane Coley started the term by sharing her vision for the ALT Community with all staff across our 7 schools. With the new academic year beginning and a new CEO the Trust is beginning its new chapter with growth and expansion in it’s future. Jane has a substantial background in not only education but as a director within a multi academy trust (MAT), opening Ascend Learning Trust to a world of knowledge from a large MAT.

In her various leadership roles, Jane has earned a reputation for working at a rapid pace to improve progress and standards in schools whilst creating positive cultures that embody a strong moral purpose, to ensure all young people thrive and where staff feel empowered to lead. Ascend Learning Trust are excited to see what the future holds under Jane’s management whilst welcoming in the new academic year.

CEO From Ascend Learning Trust Donates Retirement Fund to Young People Wanting to Achieve Their Sporting Dreams
Ascend Learning Trust held a retirement party for CEO George Croxford.

The event held at Royal Wootton Bassett Academy laid out a spectacular afternoon tea along with the swing band.

George Croxford, CEO for Ascend Learning Trust (ALT), is retiring from August and to celebrate his achievements and time at Royal Wootton Bassett Academy (RWBA) and ALT, the trust held an event of afternoon tea and music. As part of George’s present from the trust and schools, staff donated money on behalf of George to’ Doing it For Dan’, a charity that helps young people achieve their sporting dreams.

George Croxford, CEO of Ascend Learning Trust, wil

George Croxford, CEO of Ascend Learning Trust, will retire in August 2023. The Multi Academy Trust was set up by George in May 2017.

Ascend Learning Trust now has 7 Academies within the Trust. The Academies based in Tidworth, Calne, Swindon and Royal Wootton Bassett work together, sharing their leadership principles and management processes. As a Trust, they strive to ensure that all staff and pupils are equipped to deliver the highest level of performance. Trust wide events are a way to form a community, this year they are holding various ‘Rise Up’ events (Festivals) termly around the Academies, as well as a Trust Continued Professional Development Conference for all its 850 staff.

George Croxford, commented “I felt now, whilst the Trust is thriving, was the best time for my retirement. Ascend Learning Trust has become a community in which each Academy are working alongside one another to achieve excellence in education. The Executive Team and I have worked together to build a foundation to help each school excel and build up an outstanding reputation.”

My time at Ascend Learning Trust has been challenging but exciting. We started with two schools in 2017 and now five years later the Trust has grown to seven schools with the same very clear aims. I wish the staff and pupils the very best in their future within the Trust.”
