Together We Belong, Believe, Become
Royal Wootton Bassett Academy
Royal Wootton Bassett Academy is one of the largest in Wiltshire with over 1,729 girls and boys aged 11-19. Rated by Ofsted as ‘Outstanding’ in 2010 and again in 2013, the Academy's vision is for students and staff to be 'the best version of themselves', every day. It has a proud record of academic success as well as considerable student achievement in a range of sporting, musical, dramatic and extra-curricular activities. Mrs Anita Ellis is the 6th and first female Headteacher since 1958 when the original school opened.
The Academy's core values are Respect, Well-being, Balance and Aspiration and we all aim to live these values in everything we do. In spite of its size, the Academy enjoys a justifiable reputation as a caring, inclusive community, encouraging students in the maintenance of high standards of behaviour. Our large Sixth Form has built up a national reputation for academic success and community volunteering.
