Become a Local Governor
Local governors are an essential part of school governance at Ascend Learning Trust. If you are looking to become a local governor, this role offers the opportunity to act as a trusted partner to school leaders and represent the Trust within the school community. By offering both support and constructive challenge, local governors help schools stay focused on their goals.
Bringing a wide range of skills, experiences, and perspectives, local governors help shape strategic decisions, encourage reflection, and offer fresh ways of thinking. Their contributions directly support our mission: to ensure every child is educated, successful, and confident as they move to the next stage of life.
This is a rewarding and impactful role where individuals can make a meaningful difference within their school community. By offering their time and expertise, our local governors add immense value to their schools and to Ascend Learning Trust as a whole.
