After a successful career in the Royal Air Force, in 1997 Anita left to complete her History and Sociology Degree, and PGCE at Bath University. Anita began teaching as a Newly Qualified Teacher in History and Sociology at Royal Wootton Bassett Academy in September 2001. Whilst teaching, she completed a further PGCE in Innovative Education at Warwick University. She held a variety of academic and pastoral positions before becoming Deputy Headteacher in 2012.

In 2020, Anita became Headteacher at Royal Wootton Bassett Academy and considers this to be one of her proudest life achievements.  Her vision is for everyone, including herself to aim to present the best versions of themselves, every single day.

Anita is a proud Welsh woman who is committed to her amazing family, she is civil partnered and has a daughter. She also has two dogs, three cats and two goldfish!
