Dan Comber - Trustee

Dan is Deputy Head Teacher Curriculum for the Senior School at British School Muscat (BSM) in Oman, a leading not-for-profit British international school recognised in the Spears Schools Index 2024 as one of the world’s top 100 private schools and among the top 10 in the Middle East. Dan has 20 years of experience working in the educational sector in both UK and International sectors.

Dan currently holds strategic responsibility for curriculum, assessment, reporting and planning, he also continues to teach GCSE and A-Level classes in the classroom. Dan leads BSM’s AI policy development, and his work focuses on aligning technology with school values to enhance teaching, empower staff and create lasting impact for students.

Dan is an experienced international speaker on the role of AI in education. He has presented at Oman's first International Schools conference, GESS Saudi Arabia 2025, Karachi Grammar School’s Digital Echoes Conference and ISCO 2025 and 2024 (International Schools Conference Oman) Dan has written for TES on the theme of AI. Alongside this Dan is an experienced teacher, timetabler, has written whole school policies and led on curriculum development.

Dan is active on LinkedIn, where he regularly shares reflections and practical insights on AI in education, and welcomes opportunities to connect with educators and leaders from around the world. Dan lives with his wife, Viktoriia and their four cats in Oman. During the school holidays they enjoy visiting countries and experiencing cultures all over the world along with a number of hours at the beach and occasionally some at the gym...
