Together We Belong, Believe, Become
Gill Vaughan
I am an experienced business professional, now retired.
My career began in the banking sector, followed by a period working for HMRC.
Following the birth of our children I actively got involved in education beginning with pre-school committee roles followed by a few years as a School Secretary where I stepped into the role of Clerk to the Governors at primary and secondary level. I became a Parent Governor at RWB Academy leaving this role to take on the Clerk to Governors position which I held for over 28 years. During this period, I was very involved in the legal processes and protocols required for the formation of Royal Wootton Bassett Academy Trust and all that was entailed with the appointment of the various governance roles.
I have always had a very keen interest in education and managed to maintain this whilst being a partner in our Financial Services business offering wealth management investment services as well as being a licensed agency holder offering banking services for Halifax and Santander for 20 plus years.
Our 3 children benefited from attending excellent schools within Royal Wootton Bassett and I now have grandchildren at primary and secondary level, hence my continued interest and desire to be a part of the ongoing development of education.
