Martyn has over 15 years’ experience in education, having worked across multiple schools and phase settings, and held a variety of roles from teaching to senior and trust-wide leadership.

He brings proven expertise in school improvement, curriculum development, safeguarding, behaviour and attendance reform, data-driven performance monitoring and cross-school quality assurance through his many roles across trusts and schools over the past 15 years.

In his current role as Secondary Development Lead, he has led trust-wide initiatives in safeguarding strategy, curriculum and subject review, CPD design, and policy development including AI guidance. Martyn collaborates closely with senior leaders and governors to support strong organisational culture, consistent standards and continuous improvement. His broad background gives him the insight and judgement necessary to contribute effectively at trustee level.

Outside work, Martyn enjoys travelling and caring for his many animals; interests that reflect his values of responsibility, balance and commitment.
