Stephen Vegh - Trustee
Stephen is a dedicated and dynamic educational professional with over 15 years of experience in education, leadership, and child advocacy. Stephen’s career spans a variety of roles, including Senior Education Advisor, Head of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, and Head of Religious Studies and Social Sciences. Throughout these roles, Stephen has demonstrated a passion for raising aspirations and delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people.
Currently, Stephen serves as the Senior Education Advisor within the Virtual School, championing the education of children with Child Protection, Children in Need plans and children who have left care, as a result of Adoption, Special Guardianship Order and Kinship Orders. Stephen is developing and facilitating training on trauma-informed practices and therapeutic behaviour management across one of the Berkshire authorities. With a proven track record of strategic leadership, Stephen also holds extensive experience in staff development, safeguarding and school governance.
Stephen is an experienced school governor with many years experience across primary and secondary phases. Stephen sits as an independent member of foster panel and supports across the regional adoption agency. Stephen chairs the Wokingham SACRE, promoting excellence in Religious Education across the borough, and leads restorative justice panels, for young people on referral orders.
When not at work Stephen will be found travelling with his two young children.
