Carleen joined Ascend in January 2024. She has  been teaching since 2009 and has a wealth of experience in different settings and roles. Carleen has successfully run several departments and held various whole school responsibilities including student voice and high attainment provision. For the last few years Carleen has been driving School Improvement in Mathematics across a MAT, focusing on Curriculum and Pedagogy.

Carleen is passionate about teaching and learning and believes all teachers, at every stage in their career should be given great professional development. As a maths and economics teacher she believes that having an excellent education opens doors for students.
